I'm Damien, an IT/systems administrator based in Quebec. I build and run small projects for fun and for work. Homelabs, game servers, community sites (you name it). Also I write code when the job needs it.
Most of what I do starts on a bare-metal server I own (my good "old" server), behind a Caddy reverse proxy and a Tailscale + Twingate VPNs. After that, the projects are used by clients or among friends. The aesthetic of the website is CLI-shaped because that's how I operate most of the time: terminal, SSH, markdown, bare bone text.
I take freelance work today (web, small-scale infra, game-server setups) and I'm positioning for a remote full-time IT / systems role from 2027 onward. If either fits what you're looking for, the fastest way in is /contact.

background
I started making servers and operating them at a young age. I was barely 9 years old when I started getting into computers and coding. I made Minecraft communities - custom plugins, BungeeCord routing, plumbing behind them. That's where I learned that the servers are rarely the hard part; the software and network layers are.
Since then, I've mostly contributed to friends' projects. Sometime I am lucky and I find projects by word of mouth. Recently, I've led development on HytaleHQ (an Hytale server that unfortunately didn't survive time), built a persistent homelab across a handful of services I actually rely on (Outline, Planka, Caddy, Tailscale), and taken freelance contracts when the scope fits solo delivery.
The thing that ignites my flame is simply using CLIs and installing stuffs that work together. As long as there is tinkering and pizza, I am ready to install any stack needed or help people fix their VPS.
